Horse Shows

Throughout the competition year we travel to various level competitions,
from the first time horse show competitor through the seasoned AA
veteran traveling along the east coast.

Local horse shows also known either as non-rated horse shows or
schooling shows are excellent for the first time competitor, the rider on a
budget, the owner looking to get their green horse out for the first time or
for the seasoned rider looking for practice and extra warm up time.
Every year we attend several series or combinations of local shows.
Some local shows do require memberships to the sponsoring
organization while others may not.

Local series we attend include:
  • Islip Horseman's Association or IHA English Series
  • Hidden Pond Horse Show Series
  • Touch N Go Horse Show Series

Rated Horse Shows are recognized by the United States Equestrian
Federation (USEF more information at
www.USEF.org) and require both
horse & rider to be members of this organization.  Certain classes also
require membership to the United States Hunter Jumper Association
(USHJA).  Rated shows are also typically held in a series format and
points can also count towards Zone & National finals.  Long Island rated
horse shows are also collectively pointed with the Long Island High
Score Awards Association (LIHSAA) where horses & owners/riders can
earn awards at year end for their accomplishments.

Rated Shows we attend include:
  • Winner's Circle Horse Show Series
  • Island Hills Horse Show Series
  • Glen Head Horse Show Series
  • Old Field Farm Horse Shows
  • Salt River Farm Horse Shows

Away shows are a great way for the whole team to get together and
spend a week or two away from home with our horses.  Away shows are
available throughout the year and are scheduled months in advance,
contact the farm directly to inquire as to which away shows we will be
attending next!
